Crafts for Christ Ministry
The purpose of the Crafts for Christ Ministry is for the women of our church, and their friends, to meet together not only to share a Christian fellowship with each other but more importantly to share the gifts God has given to each of them.
In five years this ministry has expanded from making prayer blanket/shawls for the local care facilities to a worldwide ministry. With the funds raised from our boutiques we have been able to support the Makayla House (a home for unwanted children) in Uganda, that was established by our own Robert Fleming, and adopt Georginia Wanjiru from Kenya.
We continue to make scarves and sweaters for our church in Mexico, and for the Guidepost; helmet liners for our servicemen; baby hats for the local hospitals as well as adult hats for cancer patients; and lap robes for shut-ins. At Christmas we give small trees that have been decorated with the beaded ornaments that have been made during the year.
Please come and join us. Learn a new hobby, there are plenty of women willing to help you learn and we have yarn, needles, and supplies.
Monday mornings from 9:30am to 11:30am in the Christian Education Room.
