Buildings and Grounds |
The buildings and grounds are but an outward reflection to our community of how we display and invite others to share the joy of Christ in our lives. We are Christ’s church, not the grounds, but they do reflect the way God is raising us up in His Love and we thank all those who help and want to be a part of that outward expression of God moving in our lives. Over 60 people contribute time, abilities and hard work to improve our presentation to the community. David Robertson, Chair |
Gospel Players |
Gospel Players, the drama ministry at First Presbyterian Church of Covina, is a dedicated group of individuals who love to bring the gospel to life through short scenes and dramatic sketches. They help support the pastor through “sermon starter” dramas, give presentations during the Lenten and Advent seasons, and assist with the Vacation Bible School musical presentation. Socialites meet the first Thursday of each month, September through June in Williams Hall. Dinner is served at 6:30 p.m. followed by coffee and dessert. At 7:30pm a one hour entertaining program begins. There may be a slide show, a dance performance, or live music. Every month brings something different, all in the name of fellowship. Women’s Ministry |
The Women’s Ministry provides fellowship opportunities including an annual Women’s Retreat and Christmas Tea. The annual Women’s Retreat features special speakers and is full of laughter and sometimes tears, and the wonderful women from the congregation step up to lead small groups, music and help in many ways. The annual Christmas Tea provides an opportunity for fellowship and rejoice in the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Kim Birkett, Chair |
